Prohibited and Restricted Items Policy

Tise welcomes the sale of most items. However, to comply with applicable law and maintain a safe and welcoming marketplace, some items can only be sold in restricted circumstances or are prohibited from Tise completely. Services cannot be offered or exchanged on Tise.

Activity on Tise is required to follow this policy, the Terms of Service, any other policies applicable to Tise users and all applicable laws, as well as respect the rights of third parties. If it doesn't, Tise may take action consistent with applicable laws and the Terms of Service, and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: hiding or removing your listings, issuing a warning, restricting your account or activity and/ or permanent suspension of your account.

Illegal items

You can't sell anything illegal or meant for illegal use. This includes things like stolen goods, drugs, drug paraphernalia and other drug-related material. Content that shares or involves non-consensual intimate material or child sexual abuse material is never allowed. We also don't allow anything that promotes or supports violence, terrorism, listed terrorist groups, or criminal activity.

Items may be listed only if they meet all local regulations.

Counterfeit items

We don't allow counterfeit items, replicas or unauthorised copies to be listed on Tise.

Items sold using a brand name or a brand logo must be original and made by the brand or manufactured on their behalf.

Unsafe, recalled and hazardous products

Banned or recalled items and anything that doesn't meet required safety standards may not be sold on Tise. If you're unsure whether your product has been banned or recalled, please visit the ACCC Product Safety website.

We also don't allow hazardous materials such as aerosols, fuels, poisons, pesticides, radioactive materials or toxic plants.

Baby and children's clothing and accessories must comply with Australian safety standards and all applicable laws. All other baby products are not allowed, including sleeping bags, nests, weighted blankets, swaddles, sleep sacks and helmets.

Other restricted and prohibited items

  1. Adult items and content

    Sex toys and sexual wellness products cannot be sold on Tise. Items that show or contain explicit sexual content or nudity are not allowed.

    Tise defines nudity as showing any part of male or female genitalia, anus, or female breasts where the areola or nipple is visible. Modeled clothing that is see-through or very tight and shows human genitalia, the anus, or the nipple/areola of female breasts may also constitute nudity for the purposes of this policy.

    We don't allow content, listings or items that show or contain materials inappropriate for children under the National Classification Scheme.

  2. Alcohol, tobacco, nicotine

    Alcohol, tobacco, nicotine and other age-restricted substances cannot be sold on Tise. e-cigarettes, cartridges, and e-cigarette parts are also prohibited.

  3. Animal and plant products from endangered species

    You can't sell products made from protected or endangered plants or animals. This includes products made with ivory, tortoiseshell, or skin, leather, fur, teeth or other body parts from animals listed in Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), Australia's Threatened Fauna List, Marine Species List or Migratory Species List. Items made from the wood, fiber, or other parts of plants listed in Appendix I of CITES cannot be sold on Tise. Products made with or from plants or animals listed in Appendix II of CITES can only be shipped domestically.

  4. Cosmetic and wellness products

    Cosmetic and wellness products that do not comply with applicable regulations are not allowed. In addition, used, damaged, or opened package products are prohibited.

  5. Currency and other financial instruments

    Currency that is still in circulation, even if it is not your local currency, cannot be sold or exchanged on Tise. Cryptocurrency, virtual money, merchant loyalty program and travel points, gift cards and open-loop payment cards are also prohibited.

  6. Electronic equipment

    All wearable electronic products must comply with Australian safety standards and all applicable laws. This includes devices such as smartwatches, fitness trackers, wireless earbuds, or any other electronic item designed to be worn on the body.

    Products that use button batteries must meet Australian button battery safety requirements. Any item where the button battery can be easily accessed or removed without the use of a tool is not permitted.

    All other electronic equipment and devices are not allowed. This includes micromobility, like e-scooters and e-bikes.

  7. Event and travel tickets

    Selling tickets for concerts, sporting events, theater and charity and other similar events is not allowed on Tise. Travel tickets like cruise or airline tickets also cannot be offered for sale.

  8. Firearms, weapons, and knives

    Tise does not allow objects that can be used to harm others or to hunt. This includes firearm parts and accessories, bladed items, and cutting tools. Replica firearms, airsoft and paintball guns, and decorative weapons are not allowed.

  9. Food and drink

    Food and drink cannot be sold on Tise.

  10. Goods from embargoed countries

    You can't sell items that originate from or are tied to countries under embargo, such as Crimea, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Syria, Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), Luhansk People's Republic (LNR), Kherson, Zaprozhzhia. Additionally, you cannot sell diamonds (natural and lab-created) from Russia and Russian gold (coins and jewellery).

  11. Hateful and violent content

    We don't allow content or listings that promote hate, violence or discrimination in any form. This includes racist, anti-Semitic, or demeaning portrayals, as well as Nazi or Holocaust related memorabilia. Anything that encourages or glorifies harm toward people or animals is strictly prohibited.

  12. Live animals and plants

    You cannot sell living beings such as insects, dogs, cats, horses, fish, rodents, birds or even hatching eggs. Additionally you cannot sell live plants or seeds on Tise.

  13. Medicines and medical devices

    Medicines or medical devices cannot be sold on Tise. Complementary medicines like dietary supplements and herbal remedies are also prohibited.

  14. Used intimate apparel

    Used underwear, athletic supporters, and socks cannot be sold on Tise. Other used clothing must be properly cleaned.
