Shipping Terms
Last updated: 2026-05-20
1. Scope and role of Tise
1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Shipping Terms") govern the purchase and use of shipping labels offered to you via the Tise platform for shipments with a place of dispatch in Germany.
1.2 Your contractual partner is eBay GmbH, Albert-Einstein-Ring 26, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany ("Tise" or "we").
1.3 The Terms of Service of the Tise platform and the Tise Privacy Notice also apply. To the extent that these Shipping Terms specifically govern the purchase and use of shipping labels, they prevail in that respect.
1.4 Tise does not itself carry out the transport of your shipment. The actual transport service is provided by the selected carrier. Tise processes the sale of the shipping label and supports — where provided — the handling of enquiries in connection with the shipping label.
2. Conclusion of contract, shipping options and carrier terms
2.1 During the listing process, we will display the available shipping options, the respective carriers, the key service features, pricing information and any shipping restrictions.
2.2 The contract for the shipping label is concluded when, during the listing process, you click the button clearly indicating an obligation to pay and we accept your order by making the shipping label available or by providing an order confirmation in text form.
2.3 There is no entitlement to the permanent availability of specific carriers, shipping methods or additional services. We reserve the right to make changes for the future where there is an objective reason for doing so, for example legal requirements or technical or security-related reasons. Shipping labels that have already been validly purchased remain unaffected.
2.4 The carrier's terms apply on a supplementary basis to the extent that they concern specific requirements for the actual performance of the transport, for example acceptance conditions, packaging requirements, excluded goods, delivery and return processes and damage reporting. We will make these terms available to you before you purchase a shipping label.
3. Shipment requirements; prohibited or restricted items
3.1 You must provide all information required for the shipment completely and accurately. This includes, in particular, sender and recipient details, weight, dimensions, contents, value information where required and, for cross-border shipments, the necessary customs and export information.
3.2 You are obliged to package, label and dispatch the shipment in the manner required by law and by the terms of the selected carrier.
3.3 No items may be sent using the shipping labels if their shipment is prohibited by law, violates Tise policies or is excluded or permitted only on a restricted basis under the terms of the selected carrier.
3.4 If a shipment does not comply with the above requirements, the carrier may refuse acceptance or transport, return the shipment or take other measures provided for by law or by the carrier's terms. Additional costs arising as a result and for which you are responsible may be charged in accordance with Section 4.
3.5 For cross-border shipments, you remain responsible for compliance with applicable customs, export, import and sanctions rules. Unless expressly stated otherwise, you are the exporter of the shipment.
4. Prices, payment and subsequent price adjustments
4.1 Before you place your order, we will show you the total price of the shipping label, including statutory VAT where applicable, and any other price components.
4.2 The displayed price applies on the basis of the shipment data provided by you during the order process and the shipping option selected by you.
4.3 If it subsequently emerges that the actual shipment data, in particular weight, dimensions, format or selected additional services, differ from the information provided, you owe an additional fee. This fee may also be owed directly to the carrier and may be collected at the parcel shop.
5. Provision and use of the shipping label
5.1 After conclusion of the contract, we will make the shipping label available to you electronically.
5.2 The shipping label may be used only for the specific shipment booked, only for the selected shipping option and, as a rule, only once.
5.3 A shipping label will be cancelled 7 days after purchase if it has not been used.
5.4 The transfer, resale or other use of the shipping label outside the specific underlying transaction is not permitted.
5.5 If a shipping label is cancelled or refunded, it may no longer be used.
6. Undeliverable, returned or uncollected shipments
6.1 If a shipment cannot be delivered or is not collected, the further procedure is governed by the terms of the selected carrier.
6.2 To the extent that the reason for the failed delivery lies within your sphere of responsibility or is based on incorrect or incomplete shipment information, insufficient packaging or impermissible contents, you may be charged the additional costs arising as a result in accordance with the cost logic disclosed before conclusion of the contract.
6.3 Rights and obligations arising from the purchase contract between you and the buyer of your goods remain unaffected by these Shipping Terms.
7. Right of withdrawal and cancellation of unused shipping labels
7.1 If you are a consumer, you generally have a statutory right of withdrawal. Details are set out in the instructions on withdrawal in Annex 2.
7.2 Irrespective of the statutory right of withdrawal, unused shipping labels may be cancelled provided that the label has not yet been used and the shipment has not yet been first accepted or scanned by the carrier. This voluntary cancellation option does not restrict your statutory rights.
8. Loss, damage and complaints
8.1 In the case of visible transport damage, you and the recipient should document the damage as promptly as possible and, where possible, report it in accordance with the carrier's requirements. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
8.2 If a shipment is lost or damaged during transport, any claims are governed by the applicable statutory provisions and, on a supplementary basis, by the validly incorporated terms of the selected carrier.
8.3 To the extent that a standard compensation amount or optional additional insurance is provided for the shipping option selected by you, we will display this information to you before conclusion of the contract. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
8.4 You may contact Tise customer service to report a loss or damage. Tise supports the handling of the report vis-à-vis the carrier to the extent provided for the relevant shipping option.
8.5 An entitlement to compensation may be excluded or reduced to the extent that the loss or damage is based on circumstances for which you are responsible, in particular insufficient packaging, incorrect information or the shipment of prohibited or excluded items.
9. Liability of Tise
9.1 Tise is liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence as well as for damage arising from injury to life, limb or health. Claims under the German Product Liability Act and other cases of mandatory statutory liability also remain unaffected.
9.2 In the event of a slightly negligent breach of a material contractual obligation, Tise is liable only for the damage typical for the contract and foreseeable. Material contractual obligations are obligations whose performance is necessary for the proper performance of the contract and on whose compliance you may regularly rely.
9.3 In all other respects, Tise's liability for slight negligence is excluded.
9.4 The above liability provisions also apply for the benefit of our legal representatives, employees and vicarious agents.
10. Availability of the service; restriction or refusal for good cause
10.1 We may restrict or refuse access to shipping labels or the use of individual shipping options for the future where there is an important objective reason for doing so. Such a reason may exist, in particular, in the event of:
- (a) a legal or regulatory obligation;
- (b) security or abuse risks;
- (c) suspected fraudulent use;
- (d) repeated materially inaccurate shipment information;
- (e) repeated breaches of these Shipping Terms, the Tise Terms of Service or carrier terms; or
- (f) discontinuation or restriction of the shipping offering.
10.2 Measures under Section 10.1 must be proportionate. Where possible and reasonable, we will inform you in advance or without undue delay thereafter of the reason for the measure.
10.3 We will refund shipping labels that have already been purchased but cannot yet be used, unless the inability to use them is based on a circumstance for which you are responsible.
11. Data protection
11.1 Information on how Tise processes personal data in connection with shipping labels can be found in the Tise Privacy Notice.
11.2 To provide the shipping labels and perform the transport, we transmit the data required for this purpose to the selected carrier and, where applicable, to other service providers involved in providing the service.
11.3 The selected carrier generally processes the data transmitted to it as an independent controller for the purposes of performing the transport and fulfilling its own legal obligations.
11.4 To the extent that you enter additional information, you are responsible for its accuracy and for ensuring that you are permitted to use that information for shipping purposes.
12. Final provisions
12.1 The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
12.2 If individual provisions of these Shipping Terms are or become invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
