You can remove the tokens from your account from the account settings or by deleting your account. Note that third-party payment providers may retain this information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms, or as required by law. In order to reconcile our legitimate interests with your rights, we have introduced appropriate control mechanisms. On this basis, we process your data for the following purposes:
- Participation in investigations and proceedings (including judicial proceedings) conducted by courts, law enforcement agencies, government agencies or public authorities, intergovernmental or supranational bodies, in particular for the purpose of detecting, investigating and prosecuting illegal acts, unless there is a statutory obligation to this effect, and we may legitimately assume that the disclosure of the data is necessary to avert imminent disadvantages or to report a suspicion of an illegal act. - We believe it is important to know who you are about to trade with and show some of your personal data on your Tise profile and listing. This includes your name, profile picture and address. In cases in which your exact address is not necessary, you can select the granularity of your address when you browse and add items for sale.

We may also share your information with third-party service providers for the purpose of providing analytic services to us. This includes using error reports to improve security and features of the clients, using search queries and clicks to improve the relevance of search results and using usage data to determine what new features to prioritize.

For example, you may use your Tise account credentials to sign in to, or create an account for, certain other of our services, such as the eBay marketplace. We may also link your Tise account to your existing accounts for these other services, including your eBay account, or merge the accounts into one unified account for all services. - Processing of your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you have given so that we or third parties can enable you to use certain services or make them available to you.
- We try to make our Services as interesting and relevant for you as possible. For instance, where permitted by applicable law, we may show you collections of listings that we believe are relevant based on your location and profile. We can also show listings that are similar to those you have liked or searched for previously, and get recommendations based on what other users similar to you have liked. We want to show content and advertising that is as relevant as possible for you, and we measure how well we do. Therefore, we use information about you collected from our Services and other eBay affiliate services used by you to show you our content and advertisements from our partners and eBay affiliates.
Subject to your consent, we may process your personal data for the above purposes across different services provided by us or other eBay affiliates. You can find information about your right to withdraw your consent or request not to receive advertising based on your personal information and information with regard to the use of cookies and similar technologies in our Cookie Notice.

We will not make any automated decisions about you that would significantly affect you unless such a decision is necessary for entering into, or the performance of, a contract with you, we have obtained your consent, or we are required by applicable law to use such technology. You will find information on your right to object to this processing of your data below under section 9, if it is available under applicable laws.
6. Categories of recipients

In addition, we may share your personal data among eBay affiliates, including to synchronize your account data across different services.
Some of these recipients may be located outside your country of residence including in Switzerland and the United States. We may also share non-personal information that is aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify you as an individual. We may disclose such data publicly, to third parties and to partners, for example in public reports about the second-hand market and as part of community benchmarking.
7. Cross-border data transfers
Some recipients of your personal data are located outside your jurisdiction or have offices in jurisdictions where data protection laws may provide a different level of protection than the laws in your jurisdiction. When transferring personal data to such recipients, we provide appropriate safeguards.
Data transfers to eBay affiliates
The transfer of personal data between eBay affiliates located in the European Economic Area ("EEA"), Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, or Australia (e.g. to enable cross-border transactions and for other legally permitted purposes) is based on our worldwide data protection principles, which are binding internal data protection regulations (Binding Corporate Rules, BCRs), or on the basis of other appropriate safeguards (e.g. for EU users on standard data protection clauses issued or approved by the European Commission (2021/914/EU for transfers from the EEA). Through our Binding Corporate Rules, eBay affiliates undertake to protect your personal data and to comply with data protection obligations.
Other data transfers from the EEA to third countries (only applying to EU users)
We may transfer your personal data to recipients (see section 6) who may be located anywhere in the world. We will only transfer your personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland to third countries, i.e. countries outside the EEA, on the basis of appropriate safeguards or if otherwise authorized by applicable law. Third countries providing an adequate level of data protection according to the European Commission currently include Andorra, Argentina, Canada (for companies covered by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act), Switzerland (for transfers out of the EEA), the Faroe Islands, Guernsey, the State of Israel, the Isle of Man, Japan, Jersey, New Zealand, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States (Data Privacy Framework) and Uruguay. In other cases, eBay provides the necessary safeguards, e.g. through the conclusion of data protection contracts adopted by the European Commission (e.g. standard data protection clauses (2021/914/EU)) with the recipients, or through other measures provided for by law. Additional information regarding the measures taken by us is available on request. We regularly re-evaluate the measures taken to assess requirements deriving from new regulatory guidance and case law.
8. Storage duration and erasure
Your personal data will be stored by us and our service providers in accordance with applicable privacy laws to the extent necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice (see above "Purposes and legal bases for data processing" under section 5). Subsequently, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our data retention and deletion policy or take steps to properly render the information anonymous, unless we are legally obliged or permitted to keep your personal data for longer (e.g. for legal compliance, tax, accounting or auditing purposes, to detect and prevent fraudulent or illegal activity or the event of a dispute).
How long we retain personal data may vary depending on the Services we provide and our legal obligations under applicable law. The following factors typically affect the retention period:
Necessity for the provision of our Services
This includes such things as executing the User Terms of Service with you, maintaining and improving the performance of our Services, keeping our systems secure, and maintaining appropriate business and financial records. Most of our retention periods are determined on the basis of this general rule.
Statutory, contractual or other similar obligations
Corresponding storage obligations may arise, for example, from laws or official orders. It may also be necessary to store personal data with regard to pending or future legal disputes. Personal data contained in contracts, notifications and business letters may be subject to statutory storage obligations depending on applicable law.
9. Your rights as a data subject
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights under applicable laws:
- You have the right to obtain access to your personal data that is held by us. You have the right to request the personal data we hold about you. We will provide you with access to your personal data within a reasonable time, unless we are not required to do so under applicable law. If we refuse to provide you with access to your information or to provide your information in the format you request, we will provide reasons for doing so.
- You have the right to obtain from us rectification of inaccurate personal data we hold about you. We will provide reasons if we refuse your request to amend information.
- Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data by us at any time. As a result, we may no longer process your personal data based on this consent in the future. The withdrawal of consent has no effect on the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. If your personal data is processed by us for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing.
In addition, if you are an EU user:
- You have the right to obtain from us the erasure of personal data concerning you under certain conditions (e.g. when the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was processed or when it is no longer required for overriding legitimate grounds, such as the detection/prevention of fraud), unless processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
- You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data to the extent that
- the accuracy of the data is disputed by you,
- the processing is unlawful, but you oppose the erasure of the personal data,
- we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or
- you have objected to the processing.
- You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller ("right to data portability").
- You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For example, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence, your place of work or the registered office of the controller.
If your personal data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation. This also applies to profiling. If your personal data is processed by us for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing.
You can exercise these rights at any time by following the descriptions given on our support pages or by sending a request to privacy@tise.com (for further information, see the section titled "Controller / Who collects your personal data" under section 2 or "Data Protection Officer and contact" above under section 3).
If you have a complaint about how we deal with your personal data or our compliance with applicable privacy laws, please contact us at privacy@tise.com. We will investigate and respond to your complaint within a reasonable time.
The exercise of the above rights (e.g. right to access or rectification) is generally free of charge. We may charge a reasonable fee for providing access to your personal data (provided that it is not excessive and the fee does not apply to making the application), in accordance with the applicable laws. We may refuse an application if permitted under applicable law, and we will provide reasons for any such refusal.
Managing your communication and other preferences
We will send you communications (including marketing communications) in accordance with applicable laws which may be based on your explicit consent or your conduct and our business relations. If you would like to change your preferences regarding Tise communications, you can do so at any time with future effect through your account. If you no longer wish to receive email, push notifications or SMS marketing communications from us, you can withdraw your consent or object to the use of your electronic contact details free of charge by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the footer of every marketing email, by toggling out from receiving push notifications in the preference center, or following the directions in the SMS you received. For technical reasons, the implementation of your decisions may take a few days.
10. Data security
We protect your personal data through technical and organizational security measures to minimize risks to personal data associated with loss, misuse, interference and unauthorized access, disclosure and modification. To this end we use network security services and data encryption, for example, as well as physical access restrictions for our data centers and logical access controls for data and systems access.
11. Other important information regarding privacy
This section contains important additional information about the protection of personal data in connection with the use of our Services, including whether you are required to provide personal data.
Are you obliged to provide your personal data to us?

For example, you may be required to provide us with certain identification information including legal name, date of birth, and Government ID should you use certain functions, including payments. As described in this Privacy Notice, we may share this information with other eBay affiliates in order to facilitate transactions and with service providers, including third-party payment service providers, credit agencies and bureaus if permitted under applicable law. Although the provision of any other personal data (e.g. address and shipping data) is voluntary, it may be necessary for the use of our Services, such as purchase and sales data to complete a transaction. If you do not provide all the personal data we request, we may not be able to provide you with some or all of our services or process transactions.

12. eBay and AI
Responsible AI
We are committed to developing and using artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly, ensuring that we use AI to enhance your experience and respect the needs of the entire Tise and eBay community. To achieve this, we have invested in a robust Responsible AI (RAI) approach at eBay which leverages the RAI principles set out in our RAI Policy. These principles direct the development, deployment, and use of AI at eBay.

- To improve and enhance the Services and other services provided by eBay affiliates.
- To offer you new or enhanced features and products (such as AI-powered listing generation, image background enhancement, and AI assistants).
- To make information about listings and services more accessible, such as by offering AI-generated summaries of product reviews.
- To offer you a more customized and personalized experience.
- To provide you with enhanced customer service, for example, to bring real-time answers to chat, to analyze customer service interactions to improve their quality or to better understand customer pain points, and to help respond to customer queries.
- To support fraud detection, and compliance checks, and to detect suspicious activity on our properties.
- To analyze data for specific patterns (e.g. for market research purposes).

AI-powered tools and products may involve personal data processing, but this is not necessarily the case. We use both our own AI models and third-party AI models and systems to deliver AI-powered tools and products. If we use any AI system that interacts directly with you, we will let you know.
