Who collects your personal information
Which legal entity is responsible for the collection and processing of your personal information in connection with the provision of the Services depends on how you use our Services.
If your account registration address (where available) or your location (in all other cases) is in Australia, eBay Marketplaces GmbH, Helvetiastrasse 15/17, 3005 Bern, Switzerland is the legal entity responsible for the collection of your personal information in connection with the provision of the Services.
If you use other services or marketplaces provided by us or other eBay affiliates, please review the privacy notices associated with those other services for more information about how your personal information may be used in connection with those services or marketplaces.

We have appointed a Data Protection Officer to oversee the protection of your personal information. You can contact our Data Protection Officer by emailing personvernombud@tise.com.
What personal information we collect, use, and disclose
We collect your personal information when you use our Services or other services provided by us or other eBay Affiliates, create a new account, provide us with information, add or update information in your account or otherwise interact with us. We also collect personal information from other sources (such as other eBay Affiliates, credit agencies or bureaus where permitted under applicable law, and data providers).
When you use our Services, we collect the following types of information:
Information you provide to us
Account information
Some information is required to create an account on our Services. Depending on the sign-up method of your choice this can be your name, email address, username, phone number and connection to Facebook, Apple or eBay. You must provide information to create an account with us. Please also see the section “Are you obliged to provide your personal information to us?” for further details.
Information from third-party services
If you sign up as a user by linking your Facebook or eBay account or your Apple ID you share a reference to the chosen provider. Depending on the method selected you may also share your name, email address, profile picture, and language. You can stop sharing the information from the third-party service by removing our access to that service at any time.
You can also give us access to personal information when you create or add information to your listings, in the messages you send to our Customer Support or other users, or in reviews you give us or other users.
We may also collect information you provide when using other services provided by us or other eBay Affiliates.
Card and bank information
Some features on Tise enable transactions between you and us or you and other Tise users. If you activate these features, you must provide certain information for identification and verification, such as your name, address, date of birth, card number, bank account number, card expiration date, and CVV code.
This information is stored with a third-party payment service provider. The information is encrypted and sent to the card network, which if approved returns a token which is a random string of characters that is used for engaging in transactions without exposing your card information.
We do not store this information on our servers, we only store references to the information stored with our third-party payment service provider. You can remove the tokens from your account from the account settings or by deleting your account. Note that third-party payment providers may retain this information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms, or as required by law. Our third-party payment service provider’s full privacy policy and terms are available here.

To help improve your experience or enable certain features of the Services you may choose to provide us with additional information such as your phone number, address, date of birth, banking information or other information you provide to our Customer Support if you require assistance.
You may also connect with friends on the Services.
If you participate in a survey, contest or promotion we store the information you submit, which may include your name, contact information and message.

We automatically collect information about what technology you use – i.e. your device, your browser, IP address, network operator and so forth. The information collected varies depending on the device you use.
How you use our Services
We use different internal and third-party tools to measure how you interact with our Services. For instance, which items you click on, which items you like, who you follow, how often and the last time you used our Services, and if and where the application crashes for you and what advertising we have shown you.
Location information
We automatically register information about where you are when you accept location access in our apps or by using the location you select. We may also derive your approximate location from your IP address.
For which purposes we collect, use, and disclose personal information
We process your personal information for various purposes. For example, we use the information we collect to provide you with the Services we offer and to honour our agreement with you. This includes using information to improve and personalise your experiences. We also use information to communicate with you, for example to inform you about your account, new products or services provided by us, eBay Affiliates or partners in accordance with applicable law, updates to these terms and other types of updates.
We use personal information for the following purposes:
Providing our Services to you
We use personal information to deliver the Services you expect from us. For instance, we need your name to show your profile and your email to get in touch with you to communicate important events, for example when a payout fails.
Improvement of our Services
We continuously use information for research purposes and to develop and improve our offerings and offerings of eBay Affiliates. We analyse statistics collected from large user segments to understand how people use Tise and other services provided by us and other eBay Affiliates and how we can improve further. We may also share your information with third-party service providers for the purpose of providing analytic services to us. This includes using error reports to improve security and features of the clients, using search queries and clicks to improve the relevance of search results and using usage data to determine what new features to prioritise.
We use Google Analytics and Google Analytics Advertising features to understand how our user audience breaks down by age, gender, and interests. This information is fully anonymous, but if you do not want to share this information you can opt-out by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or refrain from using the service.
Adapt Tise to you and your interests
We try to make our Services as interesting and relevant for you as possible. For instance, we can show you collections of listings that we believe are relevant for you based on your location and profile. We can also show listings that are similar to those you have liked or searched for previously, and get recommendations based on what other users similar to you have liked.
Communicate with you
We use the information we collect to deliver and personalise our communications with you subject to applicable laws. For example, we may contact you by email or other means of electronic communication (e.g. SMS, push notifications or Facebook Messenger), including via our apps to inform you about new services provided by us and eBay Affiliates, update you on support issues, security or software updates, or invite you to take part in a survey.
We use information to respond to customer enquiries, diagnose technical issues and provide customer care and support services.
We want to show content and advertising that is as relevant as possible for you, and we measure how well we do. Therefore, we use information about you collected from our Services and other eBay Affiliate services used by you to show you our content and advertisements from our partners and eBay Affiliates. You can be shown our content adapted to you also on third-party apps and websites. You may ask us not to use your personal information for the purpose of individually targeted advertising.
You can opt-out of receiving direct marketing communications from eBay Marketplaces GmbH by following the instructions sent in every such email or SMS or access it from the privacy settings and/or notification settings accessible in our app. We will not send you promotional emails or SMS once you unsubscribe, but please note that you cannot opt-out of communications related to changes in terms of service and policies, security updates or other important information related to your account.
