Terms for Payments Through Tise

Last updated: 08.01.2024

  1. Tise and the integrated payment solutions (known as "Tise Payment", "Safe Payment", "payments through Tise", etc.) offer a safe way to sell and purchase items on the platform. The buyer and seller protection (Norwegian “kjøperbeskyttelse” and “selgerbeskyttelse”) services provide secure payment and transfer of funds between the parties in the transaction. The third-party provider “Stripe” handles the actual payment and moving of funds. Tise Payment serves only as a tool for the buyer and seller to get in contact, agree on a purchase and settle their obligations. The buyer and seller enter the purchase agreement solely at their own risk, and Tise has no responsibility for any potential breach of contract by any of the parties.
  2. When selling, you accept that if the buyer can prove that the item received significantly differs from the description, Tise will refund the amount paid to the buyer.
  3. When buying, you accept that when you mark an item as received or approve the item (whichever is relevant and communicated in the service), you also accept the item's condition/shipment and that the transaction with the seller is finalised. After this point, you cannot submit claims about the item's condition or delivery. This section also applies if the item got approved automatically due to you not responding within the deadlines given in the service.
  4. Tise may charge a service fee for the transaction. The fee will vary based on the item price, but the fee amount will be clearly stated in the bid you receive as a seller and/or buyer. Any fees for using the service are non-refundable.
  5. If Tise needs to contact you, we will use in-app messages and/or email. You are responsible for registering a valid email address with Tise and replying within 72 hours. If you don’t comply with this time limit, the payment may be released to the other party. You must also follow the routines described in the support articles:
  6. If you have complaints about the transaction, such complaints must be directed directly to Tise at support.tise.com via your registered e-mail address or directly in the bid dialogue on Tise. Complaints placed after the stated complaint deadlines will not be processed. By default, the funds will be paid to the seller at this stage, but at our discretion, understanding and knowledge of the situation, we may decide to pay the funds to the buyer if there is strong reason to believe that the seller has not acted per these terms.
  7. You are responsible for entering your correct personal information.
    1. If you enter or misspell your banking information, address, e-mail, telephone number, etc. Tise is not responsible for funds that are transferred to the wrong bank accounts or items being shipped to the wrong address for such reasons, and these funds will be lost.
    2. You are responsible for entering complete information as requested in the app and other communication within one year after the bid / payment was given in the app. The funds will be lost if you don't meet this deadline.
  8. Payment processing services for users on Tise are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”. Tise has no direct part in the payment processing service and serves as a platform to secure mediation ( Norwegian “formidler”) between end users and Stripe. By using payments through Tise you also accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
  9. Tise is using Stripe Connect to handle payment services. By using payments through Tise you also accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
  10. Dangerous or prohibited goods cannot be included in the shipments:
    1. Dangerous goods are substances and articles that during transport and storage may cause damage to life, health, property or the environment due to their chemical and physical properties. Examples of dangerous goods are petrol, gas, cigarette lighters, sulphuric acid, arsenic, radioactive substances, fireworks and spray cans.
    2. The following types of goods cannot be included in a shipment: Cash, weapons and other dangerous or inappropriate goods.
